ABC Motsepe League side confirmed that they have sold their status. The club's chairman confirmed that they sold their status due to being frustrated and now tired of not being able to secure promotion to second tier of South African Football in being the Motsepe Foundation Championship 


Dondol stars have been coming in short when they play in the national play-off they have participated in . With them having defeated Supersport United and Amazulu in the nedbank round of 32 and 16 respectively ,many thought stars would take their Nedbank cup form to the ABC Motsepe League and subsequently win the play-off but that hasn't been the case.


It remains disclosed who has purchased Dondol Stars status.
