CHIEFS AND PIRATES TARGET TO JOIN STELLIES?

It has been rumored that Cape Town Spurs striker Ashley Cupido is on a verge of joining fellow Western Cape side Stellenbosch FC.

Cupido was rumored to be a wanted man by both big Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

It seems the 23 year old will be making a short trip across town rather than travel over a 1000km to Gauteng.

Cupido is set for a Betway Premier League return after his side Cape Town Spurs were relegated from the top tier to the second tier at the end of last season.

It seems the offer made by the ambitious Stellenbosch FC managed fender off the offers that were made by other teams.

Stellies recently managed to make a new record for their team as they progress to the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup in their debut season of the interclub tournament.

Cupido could be a better replacement for Iqraam Rayners who has since went to join Mamelodi Sundowns.
