PIRATES EDGE CITY TO ADVANCE TO THE FINAL!

Orlando Pirates will play their third successive MTN8 final after defeating Cape Town City 2-0(3-1 on aggregate) in the second leg earlier on today at the Orlando stadium. Pirates won the competition last year and the year before ,they on route to make it 3 in a row.

Pirates and City drew 1-1 in the first leg this past Wednesday at the DHL stadium where Relebohile Mofokeng and Jadon Rhodes score on each side.

In today's match, Tshegofatso Mabasa and Deon Hotto found the back of the net for the Soweto giants.

Pirates will face the winner of tomorrow's semi-final match between Mamelodi Sundowns and Stellenbosch FC.

Should Sundowns win they will face Pirates in 3 consecutive cup finals having faced them last season in the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup.
