Xabi Alonso and Bayer Leverkusen domestic unbeaten streak came to an end last night where they faced BR Leipzig in their second Bundesliga match hosted at the Bay Arena which is Leverkusen's home stadium.
Leipzig won the match 3-2 to end Leverkusen's streak where they were undefeated domestically for 43 games but were defeated yesterday Leipzig on their 44th match.
In the last 44 games Leverkusen played they manged to win 35 while drawing 8 games.
The home side Leverkusen had a 2-1 lead heading to the half-time break. The first half goals for Alonso's side came from Jeremie Frimpong and Alejandro Grimaldo while Kevin Kampl got 1 for Leipzig.
Leipzig will get their equalizer and winner in the second half via Loïs Openda's Brace to end Leverkusen's streak.
