NEWCASTLE UNITED HOLD MANCHESTER CITY TO A 1-1 DRAW!

Newcastle United and Manchester City played a 1-1 draw earlier on today at St James' Park stadium.

Anthony Gordon and Joško Gvardiol were the players who got the goals of the day.

The 'Citizens' were without their star midfielder duo Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri who are currently nursing injuries.

Rodri was confirmed to have undergone surgery yesterday by coach Pep Guardiola and will be out for the rest of the season.

De Bruyne is scheduled to return before the international break as reported by his coach Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola had Mateo Kovačič and young Rico Lewis to fill in for Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne in the midfielder today.

City will travel to Slovan Bratislava next week Tuesday for the UEFA Champions League encounter while Newcastle United host AFC Wimbledon also next week for the Carabao Cup match.
