Tottenham Hotspurs defeated Manchester United 3-0 earlier on today in a league encounter played at Old Trafford.


Tottenham pressed United from kickoff and found the opener within 3 minutes through Brennan Johnson. Johnson almost found a second in the 19th minute but his shot hit the upright.


Joshua Zirkzee almost found an equalizer in the 22nd minute but his shot was saved by the Tottenham keeper.


United were unlucky when Alejandro Garnacho's volley hit the upright in the 28th minute.


Timo Werner came close to getting the second for Tottenham but his effort was saved after he came 1 on 1 with Andre Onana.


United's day went from bad to worse as their captain Bruno Fernandez got a straight red card in the 41st minute following a clumsy challenge of James Maddison


The visitors Tottenham went to the half time break with a 1-0 lead.


Dejan Kulusevki scored the second goal for Tottenham 2 minutes into the second half.


United kept pushing for their first goal but Carlos Casemiro's shot went across the face of goal in the 68th minute.


Dominic Solanke netted in the 77th minute to give Tottenham their third.


The match ended with a 3-0 scoreline in favour of the away side Tottenham. Spurs moved to 8th place on the league table while United slipped to 12th.
