CLINTON LARSEN BLAMES FATIGUE AND ERRORS ON THE CHIEFS DRAW!

CLINTON LARSEN BLAMES FATIGUE AND ERRORS ON THE CHIEFS DRAW!

Magesi FC head coach Clinton Larsen came out to blame fatigue and errors which resulted in his team sharing the spoils with Kaizer Chiefs last night at the New Peter Mokaba stadium.

Magesi threw away a comfortable 2-0 lead to end the match with a 2-2 scoreline.

This is what Larsen had to say in a post match interview:

"Well firstly i got to credit my players, 3 games in 7 days. We played on Sunday, we got back on Monday morning at 5 O'clock." Said Larsen

"Kaizer Chiefs played on Saturday,  Rested on Saturday night, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. That's the difference in terms of how fresh they were and why we wanted to push for early goals because we knew the legs will go in the end and we done just that but I can live with the way we conceded the first goal. Clear of a run and shot but the second it's a defensive error individual error we can't blame the team for that. So I'm so proud of the effort, Like i said for us to survive in this league and compete, these are the type of performances we need where the boys leave it all out here, I'm so proud of the players.

Magesi next encounter will be in the Carling Knockout Cup quarter finals where they play away against TS Galaxy at the Mbombela stadium this coming Sunday.

Chiefs on the other hand are home against Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB stadium for their Carling Knockout Cup quarter finals encounter this coming Saturday.
