The Motsepe Foundation Championship title race is starting to heat up. Alot of teams are slowly showing up as possible title contenders.


PSL giant killer Milford FC who are known for eliminating the mighty Kaizer Chiefs last season in the Nedbank Cup tournament leads the pack with 17 points.


The newly revamped Durban City FC( Formerly known as Maritzburg United) follow suit with 15 points. Upington City FC is in third and Black Leopards in fourth but both teams are level on points with 14 collected.


Casric Stars, JDR Stars and Orbit College are also level on points with 13 collected. Casric is in 5th ,JDR in 6th while Orbit is placed 7th.


University of Pretoria is in 8th with 10 points collected. 5 teams from 9th place to 13th place are level on points with 9 collected. Hungry Lions are in 9th, Cape Town Spurs 10th, Pretoria Callies 11th, Baroka 12th and Leruma United 13th.


The bottom 3 teams includes newbies Highbury FC ,Kruger United and Venda FC. Kruger are in 14th place with 8 points, Venda in 15th place with 7 points while Highbury are in 16th place with 6 points.
