Orlando Pirates won their 6th Betway Premier League encounter earlier on today after defeating TS Galaxy 2-0 at the Mbombela stadium.

The home side TS Galaxy pressed the visitors Orlando Pirates more for the 5 minutes from kickoff. Pirates picked up momentum from the 5th minute until they opened the scoring via Thalente Mbatha's long range goal in the 16th minute.

Galaxy had promising counter attacks from the 30th minute to 45th minute but never registered any shot on target.

Pirates went to the half time break with a 1-0 lead.

Relebohile Mofokeng gave Pirates a cushion goal after he also netted a long range goal in the 72nd minute.

The match ended with a 2-0 scoreline in favour of the visitors Orlando Pirates. They now won 6 out of 6 Betway Premier League matches.

The Buccaneers lead the defending league champions Mamelodi Sundowns with 6 points now having played a game more.

TS Galaxy are now rock bottom in 16th place with 1 point.
