Both Southampton and Liverpool will play match 12 of the English Premier League at St Mary's stadium.

Liverpool coach Arne Slot on the his players' fitness:

"Virgil [van Dijk] is all good and is training with us today," he said.

"Virgil is completely okay. Trent [Alexander-Arnold] isn't training with us yet but he's getting there so we expect him to be back for us soon."

Liverpool and Slot will be looking to capitalize on Manchester City's drop in form and stretch their lead at the top of the English Premier League log even further.
