Just like Sevilla midfielder Jesus Navas who played his last match for the LaLiga club yesterday, Brazilian club Flamengo took their social media platforms to announce that former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder David Luiz will leave the club as as his contract will not be renewed. 


The 37 year old also played for heavyweight clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica and EC Vitoria.


Below is a statement released Flamengo yesterday on their social media platforms regarding the departure of David Luiz:


"The Flamengo Regatta Club informs that it has decided not to renew the contract of defender David Luiz, which was announced this Sunday (22). We immensely thank the athlete for his dedication, professionalism and titles with our Sacred Cloak. We wish you luck and much success in the new steps of your career."
