Everton FC striker Neal Maupay who is currently on loan at French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille was on the spotlight last night after he made a surprising comment on X/Twitter after his parent club lost 2-0 to Nottingham Forest.

Taking to X/Twitter, Maupay wrote the following: "Whenever I'm having a bad day I just check the Everton score and just smile"

Maupay had a fallout with Everton head coach Sean Dyche which resulted in him completing a season long loan move to Marseille. The previous season which is the 2023/24 season he was also loaned out to Brenford.

As things are, The 28 year old might not return to Everton as Marseille have an option to make the loan move permanent. His stats for Marseille currently stands at 12 matches, 2 goals and 4 assists across all competitions.
