Having secured a UEFA Champions League play-off spot after defeating Club Brugge 3-1 last night, Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola is doubtful his team will win the champions league.
City haven't had a good finish to the 2024 as they lost alot of matches across all competitions but they are now slowly picking themselves up.
Below is what Guardiola had to say in his post match interview as reported by Sky Sports:
"Right now, no," said Guardiola when asked if his side could lift the trophy. "I'm so pragmatic."
"The reality is the reality. These teams have more experience than us.
"If we had to play tomorrow it would be difficult, but in two weeks I don't know the position we will be.
"We are going to prepare well and try it, we'll see what happens.
"Maybe we are lucky. I don't know if they are happy to play against us but there are no complaints.
"One is the king of the competition and one is the second or third - they both have experience [of winning the competition].
"We play this competition with a thousand problems. Right now they might be better than us but in two weeks, who knows."
