Mamelodi Sundowns are further looking to strengthen their squad in right back position.

According to iDiskiTimes, The defending league champions are on the verge of completing the signing of Cape Town City FC right back Keanu Cupido with a transfer fee of over R10m agreed between both teams.

The 27-year old defender has represented The Citizens for over 140 games across all competitions since joining them in July 2018. Cupido has also been in the books of the now-defunct Bidvest Wits FC and French club AC Ajaccio.

Should Cupido join Sundowns, He will have to tussle for the right back position with the likes of Khuliso Mudau, Zuko Mdunyelwa and Kegan Johannes.
