Kaizer Chiefs made three blockbuster signings during the week ahead of the highly anticipated Soweto derby which will take place today at the FNB stadium.


The Glamour boys signed striker Tashreeq Morris from Supersport United on a swap deal that saw Christian Saile going the opposite direction. Winger Glody Makabi Lilepo from French Ligue 2 club Valencienne and midfielder Thabo Cele who was a free agent at the time of signing.


Their arch-rivals Orlando Pirates didn't make any signing in the January transfer window but there were departures with Sandile Mthethwa joining Amazulu on a permanent transfer, Katlego Otladisa on a loan move to Sekhukhune United and Delvi Vieira to Petro de Luanda also on a loan move.


Morris won't be available for today's encounter as he is on suspension after an accumulation of yellow card. Lilepo and Cele might get the chance to make their debuts in the Soweto derby.


Will the new signings help do the job for coach Nasredine Nabi?
