Since his return to the Betway Premier League with newbies Magesi FC failed, Defender Edwin Gyimah is reported to be close to joining FC Astana who participate in the Kazakhstan Premier League according to SoccerLaduma.

Gyimah has spent over 7 months without a club after being released by Sekhukhune United at the end of the season due to disciplinary issues.

The 33 year old defender who will be turning 34 next month has represented 9 top flight teams which includes Orlando Pirates, Bidvest Wits, Supersport United, Black Leopards, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Sekhukhune United, Helsingborgs IF, Well All Stars and S.Hasaacas.
