BARCELONA TO RETAIN SZCZESNY'S SERVICES BEYOND THIS SEASON!
FC Barcelona have been impressed by the performance of former Juventus goalkeeper Wojceich Szczesny has been able to showcase so much in his debut season with the Spanish giants.
The 34 year old keeper was called out of retirement at the beginning of the season after Barcelona faced a goalkeeping crisis with their captain Marc Andre Ter Stergen ruled out for the rest of the season due to an injury.
According to multiple sources, The Polish player is set to have his contract extended beyond this season as he had signed a one season contract initially. Szczesny will have his stay extended until June 2026.
So far Szczesny has play 18 games while keeping 9 clean sheets across all competitions for Barca and has already won his first major trophy after clinching the Spanish Super Cup a few months back.
