Mbappe joined Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer at the beginning of this season. His move was criticized by a lot of the Madrid fans as he struggled a bit in his first 10 games and most thought he would turn out to be one of the worst signing the club could have possibly made.

Now 44 games into his first Madrid season, Mbappe managed to score 32 goals and provided 4 assists across all competitions.

Which record is Mbappe close to reaching?

The French striker is only 5 goals away from setting a new Real Madrid record of most goals in a debut season.
