Coach Owen Da Gama is slowly becoming the hero for Betway Premier League debutants Magesi FC. The Limpopo based club has now won their last 3 league matches which resulted in them escaping the relegation zone.

With the victory they earned against the high flying Stellenbosch FC yesterday at the Seshego stadium, Magesi are now on 26 points after match day 24.

Da Gama joined Magesi in January this year taking over from coach Clinton Larsen who resigned live on national television after a few poor results. Besides struggling in the league, Larsen guided the club to their first top flight trophy in their debut season where they hammered Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the Carling Knockout final.

With 6 games left to play, Will coach Owen Da Gama surely seal the status of Magesi?
