COMO PROVIDES AN INJURY UPDATE ON DIAO!






Italian Serie-A side COMO 1907 have reported that their winger Assane Diao will miss the remainder of the season after he got injured during a training session  on Thursday. 


The 19-year old underwent a successful osteosynthesis on his fifth metatarsal of his right foot as the club report. 


Assane contributed a lot for the Cesc Fabregas side since joining them in January from Spanish LaLiga side Real Betis Balompie. He scored 8 goals and provided 1 assist in the 15 Serie-A games he has played thurs far.


Below is the statement released by COMO 1907 website yesterday provided the injury update of Diao:


"Como 1907 confirms that Assane Diao sustained an injury to his right foot during training yesterday. Following medical evaluation, he successfully underwent osteosynthesis surgery on the fifth metatarsal of his right foot."


"Unfortunately, this means Assane will be unavailable for the remainder of the season as he begins his recovery process. The procedure was successful, and he is already on the road to rehabilitation."


"The entire club stands with Assane during this time, and we look forward to seeing him back on the pitch, stronger than ever, next season."
