FIRMINO AND TONEY SCORE TO CRASH AL-HILAL OUT OF THE AFC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!
Al-Ahli eliminated Al-Hilal from the AFC Champions League Elite yesterday at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium where the sides met for their semifinal encounter.
Al-Ahli came out victorious winning by a 3-1 scoreline with goals coming from former Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino, Former Brentford FC striker Ivan Toney and al-Buraikan with the consolation goal on the Al-Hilal side coming from Salem Aldawsari. The home side Al-Hilal played the remainder of the match with 10 players after former Chelsea player Kalidou Koulibaly was sent off after receiving a second booking in the 59th minute.
Al-Ahli will either face Al-Nassr or Kawasaki who face each other in their semifinal today at the same venue as the Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli's encounter took place.
Cristiano Ronaldo will be eagerly waiting to lift his first trophy at Al-Nassr and the AFC Champions League might be the final straw for this season as they got knocked out of other competitions and far behind in the Saudi PRO League title race.
