MASON GREENWOOD EQUAL DROGBA'S RECORD AT MARSEILLE!

Former English international Mason Greenwood is having a debut season to remember in the French Ligue 1 with Olympique de Marseille. The 23 year old joined on a €26M transfer from Manchester United at the beginning of the campaign after coming back from a loan move at Spanish LaLiga side Getafe the previous campaign.

United were no longer interested in the services of Greenwood due to his 2022 rape and assault allegations which saw him being out of action for months and subsequently being loaned to Getafe. His loan move at Getafe produced him 10 goals and 6 assists across all competitions in 36 appearances.

This season at Marseille, 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 has managed to score 19 Ligue 1 goals in 31 games which is now joint-2nd with 𝗗𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗯𝗮 for most league goals in a debut Olympique Marseille season in the 21st century and one goal behind 𝗕𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗶 𝗚𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀.
