XHERDAN SHAQIRI ENROUTE TO LIFTING LEAGUE TITLE WITH BOYHOOD CLUB!

Former Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan striker Xherdan Shaqiri's move to his former side FC Basel may end up to be one of the blessings the club has ever received.

Shaqiri returned to Basel at the beginning of the currently campaign after spending the last 13 years traveling between England, Germany, France and the United States of America.

His return to Swiss first tier saw him taking the club out of the relegation spot to being title contenders for the Swiss league. Shaqiri is currently on 16 goals and 18 assists across all competitions in 32 matches.

Basel are currently in first place of the Swiss Super League regular season with 61 points in 33 games.
