ANOTHER SUNDOWNS KEY PLAYER SET FOR CONTRACT EXTENSION!

ANOTHER SUNDOWNS KEY PLAYER SET FOR CONTRACT EXTENSION!

Following the contract extension of one of their longest-serving players, Themba Zwane, Mamelodi Sundowns are looking to offer former Lamontville Golden Arrows defender Devine Lunga a new deal, with his contract ending next month.

The Zimbabwean international will be rewarded with a one-year extension after his stellar season, as his agent, Mike Makaab, stated that the record-breaking league champions will be exercising the option on his contract.

Lunga hasn't played a lot of games for Sundowns, but the 16 games he has played in the 2024/25 season have deemed him a valuable asset for the Tshwane giants as they gear up for the second leg of the CAF Champions League final against Pyramids FC this week and the FIFA Club World Cup next month.

Bafana ba style travel to Egypt for the second leg of the CAF Champions League against Pyramids FC which will be played this coming Sunday at the 30 June stadium. The first leg the past Saturday at the Loftus Versfeld stadium resulted in a 1-1 draw.
