SUPERSPORT SAFE FROM RELEGATION, CITY GOING TO THE PLAY-OFFS!

Supersport United avoided going to the relegation/promotional play-offs after their resumed fixture against Lamontville Golden Arrows at the Lucas Masterpiece Moripe Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw, with all the goals being carried over from the initially abandoned match.

Matsatsantsa moved to 14th place, with Cape Town City dropping to 15th via goal difference. City and Supersport both ended the season on 27 points after matchday 28. Arrows will move up one place to 12th, removing Magesi FC. The KZN-based club finished the season on 31 points.

Cape Town City will now play in the first-ever relegation/promotional play-offs since the team was formed in 2016. The Western Cape side will play against current Motsepe Foundation Championship sides Orbit College FC and Casric Stars FC in the play-offs.
