Lionel Messi and Inter Miami's journey in the current FIFA Club World Cup tournament came to an end after being thrashed by UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain earlier on today at the Mercedes Benz stadium.

The match ended with a 4-0 scoreline with the goals being scored by Joao Neves (Brace) Achraf Hakimi and Tomas Aviles (Own goal).

PSG will either face Bayern Munich or Flamengo in the quarterfinals who their round of 16 encounter is set to kick-off shortly.

Chelsea and Palmeiras will play each other in quarterfinals after securing victories yesterday.
