PAUL ONUACHU JOINS TURKISH CLUB FROM SOUTHAMPTON!
Southampton FC has announced that their striker Paul Onuachu has completed a move to Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Since the Saints have been relegated from the English Premier League at the end of last season, They've decided to let the Nigerian international join a club that is going to fulfill his financial needs and wants and Trabzanspor is one of those teams that can match what Onuachu is looking for.
Onuachu is no stranger to the Turkish League having been with the same club (Trabzonspor) on loan in the 2023/24 season.
"Southampton Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed with Trabzonspor for the transfer of striker Paul Onuachu." Wrote Southampton.
"The 31-year-old is set to leave St Mary’s after a two-and-a-half year spell, in which he scored four goals in 40 appearances, to join the Turkish side, who he was also loaned to during the 2023/24 season." The club continued.
"We thank Paul for his efforts during his time as a Saints player and wish him well." Their statement closed.
