IPSWICH SECURE CHUBA AKPOM FROM AJAX!

EFL Championship returnees Ipswich Town FC have been boosted by the signing of striker Chuba Akpom who joined them on a loan transfer from Eredivisie side Ajax Amsterdam.

Ipswich lost a few good players following their relegation from the English Premier League. They saw their star player Liam delap completing a move to Chelsea and Axel Tuanzebe who joined newly promoted Burnley FC.

Akpom is no stranger to the Championship having already played for the likes of Brentford while they were still participating in the league, Hull City, Coventry City, Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough. He also played in the English Premier League representing Arsenal and Brighton and Hove Albion.

"Ajax, Chuba Akpom and Ipswich Town FC have reached an agreement for the loan of the forward to the English club. The loan takes effect immediately and runs until June 30, 2026. The agreement includes an option to buy for the English side." Wrote Ajax Amsterdam yesterday confirming Akpom's loan move.
