The only Betway Premier League match of today saw a battle of a league title chasing side Sekhukhune United host relegation threatened Orbit College FC at the New Peter Mokaba stadium.

Babina Noko (Sekhukhune) were aiming to get back to the top three having dropped to fifth in the last few games. Sekhukhune had a better start to the season with them being on top of the log at some point. The same thing can't be said when it pertains Orbit College FC who have had an awful start to their debut season in the top flight after winning the promotional play-offs last season.

The match didn't take long to see the first goal as it was scored by Lehlohonolo Mojela assisted by Shaun Mogaila giving Sekhukhune the lead in the second minute of the game. The visitors Orbit tried on many occasions to find an equalizer but the defense of the home side remained solid until the half-time whistle.

The second half started with Sekhukhune strongly searching for a cushion goal which they finally found through Lehlohonolo Mojela who completed his brace in the 72nd minute. Orbit kept on pushing trying to get back into the game but it wasn't meant to be as they failed to even get a consolation goal. The match ended with 2-0 scoreline in favour of Sekhukhune.

With today's results recorded, The log standings see Sekhukhune move to third with 32 points in 18 matches while Orbit remain 15th place with just 14 points in 18 matches

Both side will play their next league encounters on the 28th February and the 1st of March respectively. Orbit will host Richards Bay FC at the Olympia Park stadium on the 28th of February while Sekhukhune travel to the Loftus Versfeld stadium for their encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns on the 1st of March.
