JAMIE VARDY LEAVING LEICESTER CITY: CONFIRMED!
EFL Championship bound Leicester City FC have confirmed that their current club captain Jamie Vardy will depart the club in June this year when his contract expires. Leicester were relegated from the English Premier League last week and are now starting to prepare for life in the second tier.
Current coach Ruud van Nistelrooy is also earmarked to on a brink of a departure after he failed to save the status of the club. He was appointed last year November taking over from Steve Cooper who was unable to keep up with the English Premier League after promoting the club the previous campaign.
38 year old Jamie Vardy will leave Leicester after 13 years of trials and tribulations having been there when the club won their first ever English Premier League title in the 2015/16 season, The 2020/21 FA Cup title and The 2021/22 FA Community Shield title.
His overall stats for Leicester since joining in 2012 currently stands at 496 matches, 198 goals and 69 assists across all competitions. Should Vardy play the next four matches for Leicester, He will unlock 500 appearance and should he score 2 goals he will also unlock 200 goals and should he provide 1 more assists he will unlock 70 assists.
