RUI PATRICIO LEAVES ATALANTA FOR A CLUB WORLD CUP TEAM! Former Wolverhampton Wanderers, AS Roma and Sporting CP goalkeeper Rui Patricio has left Italian Serie-A side Atalanta BC for United Arab Emirates Pro League's Al-Ain FC. Rui Patricio departs Atalanta after his contract expired having penned a one year contract last August. The 37-year old keeper played just 6 games across all competitions for Atalanta which may have prompted the Italian side not to extend his stay which paved the way for Al-Ain. Al-Ain are set to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup this month and they are in the same group as Manchester City, Wydad Athletic Club and Juventus. Will Patricio get the game time he is looking for under the colours of the United Arab Emirates side? Photo provided by IMAGO .
